The aims of counselling
The aims of counselling are to:
- Provide a quiet and confidential environment for those who have anxieties, concerns or problems.
- Enable the person to talk openly about themselves and their feelings without being judged
- Help the person gain a clearer and more positive understanding of themselves, and their situation.
- Help the person focus on way to manage their difficulties a little or a lot better.
- Help the person realise they are capable of making progress.
